Dear Barack Obama,

If you don't win presidency I am going to cry. You are truly an amazing person and America would be lucky to have you as their president. I find your speeches very moving and I know that you have big plans for this country that will benefit any person willing to get over the fact that you're black, who fucking cares? If I could actually vote, Obama baby, you'd have my vote any day.
But, the reason for the post is not to bring up your obvious greatness, but more so, when I was at the Folsom Street Fair on Sunday, September 28th, 2008.....I came across an Obama dildo. For sale. For people to buy. It's real, oh yes. A president--in dildo form. Silver or gold, I just don't know how a person could ever decide. Wow. Yeah, so vote Obama!!!

You're great.
Love you bitch,
Pearl.

Dear Clay Aiken,

I KNEWWWW ITTTTT!!!!! Congrats on coming out of the closest. It really could not of been more obvious, you act gayer then Elton John. The amount of times I told everyone that you were a total fag, countless my friend. I honestly couldn't be more excited for you. I think this is a great time to come out for all those that are still hiding in that little closet of fear. You go Clayton, girl you’re the shit.

Love a fellow queer,
Pearl.

Dear soulseek,

Wow. Since the moment I downloaded you onto my computer I've been obsessing over all the albums I've been meaning to listen to. I think the most exciting part to downloading all this music illegally, is that I can do it by complete albums! Beyond convenient. If I wasn't already having a hard enough time focusing on doing homework, now I have no motive at all. So far I've downloaded:

a. death cab's new cd
b. dj shadow - the private press
c. some ella frizgerald. (just cuz)
d. feist - open season
e. girl talk x's three.
f. hercules and love affair
g. the kills - midnight boom (lovin' it)
h. lil wayne - tha carter III (obsessed)
i. mgmt
j. rilo kiley - ep. (finalllllyyyy)
k. santogold
l. she & him!!! <3<3<3
m. the watson twins
n. thom yorke - the eraser.

Just to name a good few.
Butttt. Hmmm yeah. Soulseek rocks. Download that shit and have no life like myself. Let me know if you have some recommendations.
Peace out
Some extra hot sweet lovin',
Pearl.

Dear Hayes Valley,

You are undoubtedly my favorite district in San Francisco. Over the last three years I have explored much of the city and gone out of my way to find new neighborhoods to play in. HV has a plethora of fun boutiques, beautiful galleries, great bookstores, fabulous coffee shops and plus, the awesome bar Marlena's. (Which I've actually only been to one time, but SUCH a great night.)
I'm completely obsessed with the cute park in the center of Hayes Valley on Octavia. Several times I've sat here just to people watch and to ponder. The kids are all having so much fun, running around screaming, playing and being silly. People nonchalantly walking their dogs and couples holding hands. The location is a jackpot. You're walking distance from downtown and a $5 cab ride to mission.
I quite possibly couldn't be more in love with this place. I would be a lucky girl to live here.

Hayes Valley, you're a total winner. I can't think of one valid reason not to like you.
Loads of love,
Me.

Dear sunny days,

Now that I have lived in San Francisco for three-freaking-years I have learned to LOVE sunny days. You are far & few between & always appreciated. When skies are blue & there's a few fluffy & healthy clouds, I never want to be cooped inside. I love walking around, discovering new places I've never been before. This city may be small when looked upon by a map, however is jam packed with new & exciting places to: A. eat B. drink coffee && C. spend money I don't have. Oh, city life is great, those sunny days are loved but limited.

I hope that since fall has begun sunny days aren't ova till next year.
Fingers crossed--love,
Me.

Dear Jenny Lewis,

You complete my life. I have been a huge fan of Rilo Kiley since I was a junior in high school; it's been nothing but lovin. I'm so happy that you're coming out with a new album. I was overjoyed to hear all the new things you're trying on Acid Tongue from the myspace.com leak, what a tease. You obviously took all the new ideas from Rilo's last album, Under the Blacklight and incorporated them into the new solo tracks. This CD is a 180 turn away from the other Jenny solo album Rabbit Fur Coat. I mean, not that I wasn't obsessed at the time, its just nice to hear something a little new from you. The new tracks were delightful to listen to and I can't wait to have the CD in my hands, then blaring threw my ipod headphones. It'll be true, true love. I know hearing Trying My Best To Love You live is going to make me cry, I can't wait.
You're great. I hope this is your big break. But, Jenny don't be a sell out. Or I'll hate you forever.

Love,
Me.
